My machine is a 2009 17'7" Ranger 177TR with a 115 Yamaha 2 stroke, equipped with an 80 lb Minnkota Fortrex and lowrance x-52. It is Ranger's entry level bassboat and sells for between $25,000 and $30,000 (when equiped with extras). Previously I had a 12' v bottom that got me where I needed to go in the sloughs on the Mississippi, but I was fortunate and blessed enough to have won this Ranger bass boat in a Stren Series tournament as a co-angler in July 2009. I am very excited about the boat and looking forward to putting a lot of time in it. With the new ride I now plan on fishing BFL's as a boater and also some team tournaments at the local level. This boat is by far the biggest opportunity I have had to open up my fishing experience and take it to the next level.
